H.E., the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights,
With Greetings.

The Ahwazi Prisoner Support Network is sending you this letter to express our deep concern and condemnation of the Iranian Revolutionary Court's unjust verdict, which sentences the prominent Ahwazi historian "Hossein farajollah Kaab" to five years in prison.
The researcher “Hussein Farajallah Kaab” is one of the most important writers in the field of history, has many published research projects, and is one of the most prominent detainees of the dignity uprising in 2017.
This ruling is part of the Iranian regime's deliberate targeting of Ahwazi intellectuals and writers with the goal of indoctrinating the people, destroying their identity, and falsifying the history of their occupied country, a practice reminiscent of colonialism.
We view this ruling as a blatant infringement on human rights and freedom of expression, rights that every society ought to uphold.
We also express our concern that, like other former activists, researcher Hussein Farajallah may face harassment and threats.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that this verdict comes as part of a large-scale arrest campaign targeting hundreds of Ahwazi activists and human rights defenders, simply for trying to express their opinions and oppose the bad conditions.
Therefore, we demand their immediate release.
Therefore, we in the Ahwazi Prisoner Network call on you and all international and humanitarian institutions to put pressure on the Iranian authorities to cancel this unjust sentence against the researcher Hossein Farajallah Kaab.
We also call on you to protect all detainees, guarantee their right to freedom of opinion, expression, and peaceful activity, and provide them with fair and impartial trials.

Sincerely.
Ahwazi Prisoner Support Network.
